Radio Shack CRV3's (also posted on DPR)

Radio Shack has its own brand of Lithium CRV3 batteries for $15.99 for 2. This seems to be a fairly good price.

Has anyone used the Radio Shack Lithiums? If so, your impression and experience.

BTW, I have Eneloops but I'm going back to the CRV-3's

I have to go along with Roy. the Rayovac Hybrid's and the Eneloops are better than anything on the market in my book over 1000 shots right out of the pack, You just can't go wrong.

My first batteries were CRV3's and I got about 800 shots out of them. I switched to Eneloops and, so far, have only gotten about 350 out a a fully charged set.

I apparently have one the K100D's that doesn't work well with the eneloops.

I addition, I have done some comparisons with focusing and my camera seems to foucs quite a bit more quickly with the CRV3's

I have losts of other gadgets the Eneloops will probably work well with. Unfortunately my K100 doesn't seem to.

If my math is correct, it costs me about $ .02 per shot to use the CRV-3's.

Eddy,

If the eneloops don't work well in your K100D, why not try the R-CRV3's?

thomas-distributing.com has two versions of the regulated ones. Moby and I forget the other...

My advice, however, is unless you shoot 500-800 shots in a day, only get one charger!

The shelf life is as important to me as the faster AF etc... so it turns out I always have time to charge the backup set of batteries, never have time to charge the primary (I never guess when they are going to run out... So far I am in the field at an important event and I need the camera to work when BAM! empty...)

So, If I did it again I would get one charger and four batteries.

$25 + $15(x3) = $70
500 shots per charge * 1000 charges = 500,000 shots per set
* two sets = 1,000,000 shots

$70/1,000,000 = $0.00007 /shot

or 7,000 cents / 1,000,000 = .007 CENTS per shot

AND faster autofocus, AND better low temperature performance etc...
