Hi all,

My most useless accessory, so far, was a Pentax Magic Image 6M filter. It is one of those trick filters that reproduce the image six times. Practically useless. I keep it around to remind myself not to be so stupid again.

Heehee. When I was a precocious youngster, someone got me some of those for a holiday present, they hung around for years, until I gave them to some hippies for toys. They really liked em.

Pentax Manual Extension tubes (no aperture lever). Focus wide open, close aperture, meter.

I thought they were automatic when I bought them in 2002.

They're worth maybe $5 - but they're in perfect condition. The guy I bought them from probably never used them either.

The internal battery in my camera (I have a grip and the camera is set to use the external first) - I don't think I've ever run the grip battery below 50%.

Andi,

When I get a little time I'll slap the silly thing on the K10 and see what we get.

Plastic sheet cover for LCD screen. I couldn't get it to stick without bubbling like crazy on me. A waste-o-time for me.

Pentax Remote Control F - too short and narrow a range.

Now use an old programmable remote from a long forgotten TV that works much better.

Andi Lo: here is a similar example from a tiffen set.
Used once and haven't touched it since. Kind of been eclipsed by all the effects that are far more attractive available in post processing.

The Cokin filter stuff. Tried it once. One day I might use some of the graduated things with B&W film... cheaping out and not finding true ND grad filters... bah.

Pentax Microscope Adapter. I don't own a "real" microscope and haven't been invited by any good scientists to photo their micro subjects...It sure is a pretty accessory though...actual Pentax brand K mount etc.

That I love to hate so much. It would wok about 30% of the time and then just quit, then start up again for no apparent reason. provide the postage and you can have it.

Cybersync, works much better. and the stress level went way down.

John
how much would the postage be?

Cheapo close up filter set. Single element version. IQ is dreadful. Cheapo CPL. Filtering effect was low and it actually warped the image. Had to return it.
