What is Your Most Useless Accessory

You knew we had to follow up the most useful with a most useless accessory/gadget in your bag. What is the most useless accessory you have ever purchased for your camera? As useless accessories seem more plentiful than useful ones we will place no limits on your choices.

That's easy... Pec Pads. They're not soft, not absorbent, and the first one I ever used left a very fine scratch on the lense I tried to clean. grrrrr.

Hi all,

My most useless accessory, so far, was a Pentax Magic Image 6M filter. It is one of those trick filters that reproduce the image six times. Practically useless. I keep it around to remind myself not to be so stupid again.

A cheap UV filter that came with my 31mm. Like I'm going to put that in front of this baby

That Cactus trigger

That I love to hate so much. It would wok about 30% of the time and then just quit, then start up again for no apparent reason. provide the postage and you can have it.

Cybersync, works much better. and the stress level went way down.

I bought one of those 8-Star filters and have yet to actually use it. Come to think of it, same goes for my UV filters as well. I don't use any filters on my lenses except for the occasions where a circular polarizer or an ND filter might provide some benefit.

Easy: the straps that came with my cameras. I decided from the git-go that I didn't want a dslr hanging from my neck: uncomfortable for me and dangerous for the equipment. When it's not in my hand or on a 'pod, the camera is in the holster bag.

Lightmeter. Used it a grand total of two times for maybe 5 minutes before I realized it's easier to just guess and check. Ah, the benefits of digital photography.

A focusing rail. Too cumbersome to use!

I have had various teleconverters over the years.
Can't remember ever actually using one though...

with strobes?

I didn't really use it all that much before. But now I shoot in studio more and outside with my strobes. I can't live without it. Just imagine yourself keep chimping while model is waiting. How professional is that.
