Input requested - how wide on a Cokin P?

I've been reading various posts about the Cokin filter systems. I've seen posts that say the Cokin P is okay down to the equivalent of 14mm, but I've also seen posts saying they've had vignetting problems with the 12-24mm at <14mm.

I currently only have the 16-50mm that I would use with the Cokin, but I am hoping to get a 10-20 or 10-24 zoom in the future.

If you have any practical experience I would be grateful if you can share.

The Cokin Z is rather pricey, especially as I only want it for a graduated/split ND.

The only lens I've seen any vignetting from the P-series filter system was with the Circular Polarizer on my DA12-24. I'll dig out the 12-24 and ND filters here in a few and test them out to see where they clean up.

Test Shots

Okay, with hands free of possible pizza grease I went out and snapped a few shots with the DA12-24 and P.152 ND2 filter...

These are all completely untouched, just imported into LR2 and exported directly to JPEG, resized to 1600px.

First round @ f/4.0: 12mm and 15mm

Second round @ f/8.0: 12mm and 15mm

I see very slight vignetting at the upper and lower right corners @ 12mm but it is totally gone by 15mm.

The 14mm vignettes with the standard P adapter but is fine with the wide angle adapter that only mounts one filter- which is awkward if you want to use an ND and a grad together...

The photos above were shot with the standard 2-slot adapter.

@Venturi - many thanks - the slight vinette really is slight - within bounds of software correction.

I appreciate you taking time to help me out like this!

No problem. Slow work day + bored stiff = ANY excuse to grab the camera. Glad to help.
