Hoya-filter and lens cap

Hi everyone I've just realized that the lens cap of my DA16-45 won't fit into the
newly bought Hoya polarizer filter-it's too slim. Any ideas? Shall I try to get one of those newer type of lens cap?
Thanks.

the polarizer didn't come with its own cap? I purchased a 52mm Hoya SHMC Circular polarizer for my kit lens when I first started with photography. it came with its own slip on rubber cap. (haven used that thing but like one or twice...) I figured all of there polarizers came with slip on caps, because you cant really put a conventional cap on them. the only thing I can suggest is a 51 or 52mm slip on cap. the 52mm that came with mine slips off just as easily as it slips on. so 51mm might be better. you can check ebay, there are always loads of cheap lens caps on there.

I use a few Optech Hood Hats: (they're like neoprene cups that stretch over your lens hood: they're good for if you like to leave hoods deployed, and may even do a decent job of covering the polarizer-turning window. (haven't tried this, yet, myself.)
