Flickr: sopiandri's Photostream the polarizer didn't come with its own cap? I purchased a 52mm Hoya SHMC Circular polarizer for my kit lens when I first started with photography. it came with its own slip on rubber cap. (haven used that thing but like one or twice...) I figured all of there polarizers came with slip on caps, because you cant really put a conventional cap on them. the only thing I can suggest is a 51 or 52mm slip on cap. the 52mm that came with mine slips off just as easily as it slips on.
so 51mm might be better. you can check ebay, there are always loads of cheap lens caps on there.
