Crumpler neck strap

Just received my black Crumpler neck strap, (Industry Disgrace), in the mail and it feels and looks great.

Smaller than i expected. I had heard of people saying it was taking up too much room in the camera bag, but i don't believe that at all. My K200D feels as light as a feather with this thing attached. I will post back more thoughts once tested for a whole day in the field.

Here is a pic.. and not a very good one, but anyway.

Looks cute, from what I can see. Though for those who don't like any perceived bulk, (I should talk, I use a few big Optechs for heavier things) check out the Lowepro Speedster. I don't know if they still make them, but there's a bunch going for a song on Ebay. Very thin, but also grippy and comfortable. You could also share buckles with Lowepro's fatter straps, for really heavy lenses or whatever (I'm not such a big fan of these, myself, for whatever reason, but they're there)

The Speedsters are particularly nice for keeping lighter rigs from sliding away off your shoulder, (like a winderless backup body in film, or, the bridge camera one of mine lives on, or, doubtless, one of the lighter DSLR comboes) ....I find them fine up to like a heavy film body with a normalish lens, somewhat less comfy if I put a big lens on there.

I do wish they came in more colors, actually, ..I do tend to get a little tangled up from time to time.

In regard to the Crumpler neck strap,I found a big improvement over the standard Pentax strap. The times I appeciate it the most is when I have my Sigma 17-70 and battery grip adding extra weight to my K10D.... the wide band and padding on the Crumpler relieve that "Cutting"effect you can get on your neck!!!
The strap does add a bit of bulk in your camera bag but it`s worth the hassle when you`re getting the extra comfort from the Crumpler when in use. I`ve used the strap on a few wedding shoots & like it a lot... hope you enjoy yours Fractal.... keep on clickin`............ ponyt27
