It's worth getting at this price. I got one along with my camera, and quickly discovered it improved the ergonomics for me, even while empty. I don't shoot vertically much, but it extends the camera's own grip down to give my pinky a place to rest.

Plus it lets me keep lightweight lithiums in the body, so I don't have to physically change anything if the rechargeables in the grip run low (or get too cold) and I don't want to pause just yet to swap in another set.
