wireless?

Hey!

Is there any way to get pictures moved from the camera (k20d) to an other unit (like computer or device) wireless?

I think about type wireless you can find in some battery-grips on the market. Haven't seen any pentax yet, but maybe you have experience of some third-parts-products?

Any experience?

Look up wireless SD cards. The "Eye-Fi" is one. Transfer photos directly to your sared folder.
I never used one, but it sounds like a cool idea.

Connect the USB cable to the K10D/K20D and a laptop running Pentax Remote Assistant (PRA). Set the folder where the photos will be saved by PRA to a shared drive on a server reached via a wireless connection. Put the running, wireless connected, laptop into a backpack, put the backpack on, and loop the USB cable over your shoulder.

Thank you
Russell

This is the kind of solution i was looking for.

But exactly what things do I have to buy to be able to use this strategy?

Thanks a lot?

  1. A laptop with a wireless card
  2. Another computer to act as a server
  3. Some type of wireless network
  4. A backpack
  5. If don't have one already, a K10D or K20D
Thank you
Russell

Okey then...It seams like a good idea.
But how do I make an other computer act like a server?

Thank you for the answers!

I maybe ask some dumb questions but I have really no idea what it means with all tecnical things.
