Macro Photography Tripod

Can anyone assist. My tripod will not go low enough for macro photgraphy of low level stuff. Became really frustrated yesterday trying to photograph Blebells. I have looked the Benbo but what are other people using. Any advice would be welcome, cheers - Penfold
