Lens Caps

Where can I get rear lens caps that screw on? Not a big fan of the slide on ones that I have seemed to accumulate.

Yeah I hate those slip on caps too. I don't know where you live but I got mine at Henry's, it's the Henry's brand and it screws on. Have you checked your local camera shop?

If you use Ebay check here:

eBay: 10x Pentax K Mount Rear Cap NEW (item 190102523050 end time Apr-19-07 06:22:19 PDT)

I have bought those before. They are cheap and work really well.

If you go to Digital Cameras, Camcorders, TV's, Home Theater, DVD Players, Apple iPods and seach for:

You get 25 hits, 4 of which are rear caps for the "K" mounts. I just bought three of the "General Brand" for AF and manual lenses at $3.95 each and they have the ridge that requires a twist to hold them on. They sell Pentax branded caps for a bit more.

I try and buy several several items per order so the postage is a smaller percentage.

P.S. It looks like the Forum took my url and expanded it. I entered "BHPHOTOVIDEO dot COM" . My wife and I have ordered from them for years.

Thanks Leo, and everyone else. Too bad I just placed an order from BH just yesterday. I guess it will have to wait until I have to make another purchase. I have done the online searching but nothing mentioned that they were lockable or threaded or anything. Thanks again, now tha I know I will invest in a few extras.

I usually just visit my LCS. They have a bargain bin has various lens caps, rear caps, lens hoods. Anytime I've needed one I just dig through that bin and have always found a suitable fit. I hate the slip on caps that come with the new lenses too. The guy at Mark's Photo just charges 3 bucks to take what you want from his bin. Pretty cool....
