I am looking for a wireless remote for my K10D that will do the 1/2 press focussing. I don't care of size or price, I just want one that works.

Does that function work with the Remote-F?

OK, I just read the manual. What that setting does is prevents the shutter from releasing if the image is out of focus. It won't focus for you, it will just prevent you from taking a crappy shot.

Will this work?

The descriptions say, "Autofocus: -Press it halfway to activates autofocus. (Indicated by Green LED)."

That's not correct. It will focus before activating the shutter.

Thank you

You didn't mention a remote type, and there are a couple answers in the thread, so...

IR remotes compatible with Pentax DSLRs have a single whole-press button only. A custom menu option on the camera determines whether it does AF or not before taking the picture.

The other kind of wireless remote, like the one linked to on eBay upthread, has its own wireless receiver that plugs into the wired remote port on the camera. That port supports both half and full press, so such wireless remotes can too.

I found a really nice and versital remote trigger on ebay. It attaches to your key chain and it allows you to control the camera wirelessly or a wired connection. It's cheap too. Since it goes directly on you keychain you never forget it.
