For you Birders out there, cool looking gaget

Saw a post with this link over at DPR. It's cool looking, but not quite my cup of tea. Should be good for birders.

I don't think it would be a good idea for me to go to my local 7-11 with it strapped on...NYPD has been known in the past to fire first and ask questions later.

Wacky Roger is a hoot (pun not intended, considering the subject of his photos!).

I go along with Salty. In my area I would either be dead or on the way to jail. But i think the setup would work very nicely for out in the bush with a long lens.

It looks like it would be good for motorsports too. Tracking motorcycles at 100mph can be tough...

Be very sure to make the first few shots count - you might not get a second chance...

Try taking that on a plane, especially through one of the NYC area airports.

Great idea roy! We should gather at the end of the runway at JFK, the one that ends at Jamacia Bay in NYC. We should especially take photos of El-Al flights. That way we could test the response time of the marine division of NYPD's anti terrorism unit too! If you can grow a dark beard, we'll have even more fun!
