Dammit.. guess what i just did .
So what stuff do i need to hook this thing up to my k200d.
I understand that T-mount to K is simple screw to K converter, but I couldnt get straight description of T-adapter. What it is, at what sizes does it come, what length do i need?
I want to order it already, so i receive it at similar time with the scope.

Celestron | SLR (35mm OR Digital) Camera Adapter | 93625 | B&H

This should do as long as the eye piece is 1.25". All it does is adapt the "K-screw" to telescope eye piece HOLDER. You can get them in different diameters for different focuser s.
Only time an extension tube is needed, is if the focuser does not have adequate travel
to compensate for the removed mirror diagonal (shortened optical path).

Cheers. Mike.

I've heard they are doing pretty limited batch and have orders already from January. What happens if my order/payment doesn't get a scope? How long do they ship?
Anyone who ordered recently ready received theirs?

It was stated that you'd get scope in mid July form orders in April and May.
Although i hope those pre-orders have already been served and now it is much faster, since they started shipping in June.

And what the h*** is K-screw? I believe m42 may be sometimes called Pentax-S(crew?). If it only adapts eyepiece (thread?) to another thread where you screw another adapter to camera mount, why cant you just have an adapter which adapts eyepiece thread directly to camera mount?

"And what the h*** is K-screw?"..
O.k. Fine, a poor choice of description, I was referring to your "screw to K converter". Hope that clarifies it.

Cheers. Mike.

Thank you very much, or else i was getting really confused. Anyway i still have to find some decent reading about what kind of animal that t-mount is.

Brief look at T-mount - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia should get me started. Wonder why i didn't found it earlier.. guess i was looking for T-adapter or something.

Getting way technical. Unless ones intention is to analyze the mechanical`s behind a T-mount.
All you need is a "T-mount camera adapter for Pentax K", B&H #GBTMPK $ 14.95
and "T-adapter for 1 1/4" eye piece", B&H # CETA 1,25 $ 24.95.
There are several different brand`s available, I just listed these for example.

Cheers. Mike.

Shipping to Australia = $25, plus another $70 or so the adapter made this an expensive purchase.

I've not yet heard of the scopes being delivered. I'll report back when this happens.

Thanks for the help Mike

Well I got the order confirmation email from them saying allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. I ordered it on June 22, 2009.

Hahaha... I don't think it is a scam.

Interesting shots indeed on flickr. For $15 US, that is really worth while. The image of Jupiter looked ok.

Hmm.. is it worth buying adapter and t-mount for such a scope i think for the total price (scope+shipping+adapters) one could get some cheap 500mm f8 mirror lens with native k-mount. But who knows.. will see what the view is when i receive mine.
