$109.95 Underwater Casing!

Though this might be useful for some people looking for something over the summer for snorkling or kayaking shots etc

Amazon.com: DiCAPac WPS10 Waterproof Case for SLR/DSLR Cameras 230 x 270 x 190mm: Camera & Photo

The reviews are mixed but basically it seems you have to put the camera on auto and probably pre-set a focal point too as I wouldn't want the case to break because you lens is trying to focus (lens getting bigger etc)

Anyway I DO know that the K10D. K20D & K-7 are weather sealed but would you want to risk it underwater?...

Good luck taking it below, oh, about five or ten meters.

Water pressure'll depress all your buttons at once (luckily, the power switch is a lever...)

I'd risk taking my Pentax underwater...if there was a damn dedicated, proper housing for 'em (for normal recreation diving, not technical diving or anything, but it's not like I'm a tech diver anyway.)

What those bags are good for is paddling around in the shallows, in the rain, in the pool. Wouldn't risk it for diving or even snorkelling - coral is hard and sharp.

IF lenses solve the problem of the lens getting bigger as it focuses.

I have an equivalent from another brand. I love it. It's not for diving but for snorkeling it's perfect. It's not true that you cannot use AF, but it would be more co plicated with a non Interjal Focusing lens.

For general underwater use, it's a very nice tool.

Nikonos prices are becoming very attractive lately.

Yes, I always look at KEH's prices for Nikonos V bodies and matching lenses. They are now unbelievably cheap. Might also be very useful for really bad weather, sandy/dusty environments etc.
