thanks, i just realised your location is Canada, and stupid me waiting on Amazon, did not bother to check my good friend Henry's in Toronto, who store is 5 minutes walk from my mother inlaw and my mother inlaw just came down on Holidays, and just before that she was asking me if i wanted anything from up there.

Check out Henry's as well, they are a good mail order company too.

I picked up 2 of the non OEM K7 batteries from a guy on ebay. They look identical to the Pentax battery, are rated and test the same and are dramatically less expensive. It took 2 weeks to receive them but they are working perfectly. For those that are interested, i got them here:

z434 Battery For PENTAX DSLR K7 D-L190 D-LI90 1860mAh - eBay (item 350236288123 end time Sep-04-09 03:20:25 PDT)

I just ordered a Pentax one from Cameta on ebay at ~$60. Expensive but they claim it is original Pentax with warranty.

Just an FYI- it seems that Amazon does a good job of delivering Pentax accessories.

I ordered a grip and a battery last Thursday- the grip came in yesterday, and the battery today (despite Amazon's claiming that it was on back-order)!

I bought from the same guy ... took 2 weeks as well ...

The sad thing though is that after 2 weeks of being charged and ready to go the battery is not working. I put it in the camera and nothing. I placed it back on the charger and it charges for about 10 seconds and then nothing. I am waiting for a reply from seller.

p.s - I didnt leave it on the charger for 2 weeks

although that shouldnt matter and the charger turns off once charged.
