with the K-m and lithiums as supplied by pentax in the box.....

one shoot with 266 shots
one with 158 shots
one with 230

and me playing around inbetween!
and only now showing half battery!

have now put lithums in the K100D Super!
but since buying the K-m its seen little use

The K-m is such a great cam!
but the K100D is good for longer shoots as its bigger and im partially disabled so fatige over time!
K100 is easire to hold with time involved!

i recently switched to using NiZn batteries. they provide 1.6v each. energizer lithiums out-of-the-box are about 1.7v

so far so good.
i got about 450 shots on one charge with quite a bit of chimping, but very little flash.
Only 450 shots? I get that or even a bit more from Varta ready2use (LSD NiMH). Seeing the recent "hype" around NiZn batteries I expected better results.

I'd imagine the appeal of the new zinc batteries would be the higher voltage for faster AF and perhaps flash recharge, not necessarily longer life.

Set Battery type in K100D Super???

The K100D Super has the battey facility in menu to state what type of cell is in the camera!
I know this is an old thread.

Can anyone please confirm the above? I can't see this in the menus of a K100D or the K100D Super, nor in the manual for the Super.

Firmware is 1.02 on the K100D and 1.0.0 on the Super. I don't see any firmware updates for the Super on the Pentax site, so I assume there are none?

Thanks!

There was no such option in K100D.
