The Show Me Your Bag Thread

I had a thought that this could be useful for people looking to buy a new camera bag. If everyone posts up what their bags look like (preferably with gear in) then those looking to buy can get a better idea of how much they can fit in them and also how big the bags are.

So, to kick things off. Here is mine:

Post up pics of yours

I know this isn't going to be very helpful since it is not a detail shot, but it is pretty much the only pic I have around that shows my photo bag. It is an older Tamrac model and holds 2 bodies and 4 lenses.

Pelican case

Here's what my boyfriend and I use to store our equipment at home, and when we take it out off-roading or traveling. We also have a back pack (Canon) and some smaller pelican cases, but no pictures of them.

So come on guys, dont be shy. Show us your bags and how bad your LBA is at the same time

Show me your camera bag - Page 1 - Canon Digital Photography Forums

Anyway I just invested in a TAMRAC EXPEDITION 7 for my gear. The Lowepro Trekker just doesn't cut it when you need to carry a 300/2.8 or similar.

Here is the manufacturers image.

Samsung GX-10 w/ Grip
Pentax MZ-S w/ Grip
Sigma 50-500
DA 18-55
DA 50-200
40/2.8 M
50/1.4 A
28/3.5 M
35/2.8 M
100/2.8 M
135/2.8 M
Tokina AF 19-35
Zenitar MC 16/2.8

plus numerous memory cards, shutter release cables, filters etc ............
oh and my VHF Radio for my shipspotting activities

Here are the other cases that I have for size comparison. In this photo, are the Tenba LL300 long lens case that I use when I want to only bring the Bigma, camera, and bushawk shoulder mount into the field. On the right side is a Tamrac Pro12 soft case. I have two of these, one for the Canon and one for the Pentax system. The Pelican case is in the background.

Now for interior shots.

This is my main case:
Pelican 1650 hard case with pick and pluck foam. I didn't like the interior as it created a lot of dust from the foam disintegrating from wear and tear, so I quickly bought the foam divider and lid organizer.

Showing:
1. Canon A2E 35mm camera body with grip.
2. Canon 420EX flash.
3. Sigma 28-135mm F3.8-5.6 Aspherical IF Macro.
4. Canon 17-40mm F4L.
5. Canon cable release, Off camera flash hot shoe, Gossen Luna6F handheld light meter, Canon screw mount lens adapter used for digiscoping.
6. Manuals, battery charger, cables, large lumiquest flash diffuser, small lumiquest flash diffuser, extra memory cards, small slave flash.
7. Canon 580EX flash.
8. Canon 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM EF
9. Kenko set of 3 automatic extension tubes (12, 20, 36mm).
10. Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
11. Canon 20D with grip plus Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG/HSM.
12. Vivitar flash bracket (broken down into 2 pieces) with micro flash ball head.

and here is a picture with the same stuff inside + some small accessories such as an angle finder C, Manfrotto flash bracket, Tamron BBAR 2x teleconverter, and Tokina 90mm SP Di Macro lens added. This case is fairly large, and I have room for several other lenses and what nots. Ok, this case is massive.

Here is one of the Tamrac Pro12 bags holding the K10D Pentax system.

This case holds:
1. K10D with Tamron 70-300mm lens.
2. Pentax DA 16-45 f/4
3. Pentax DA 50-200 f/4-5.6
4. 360FGZ flash.
5. Samyang 500mm Mirror.
6. 2x eye magnifier FB.

Here is an old Video camera bag that holds the Pentax SF10 and P3 cameras plus their lenses and flashes.

This case holds:
1. Cosmicar MC 28mm 1:2.8 on P3.
2. Magnicon 28-70mm 1:3.5-4.5 AF on SF10.
3. Kiron 2x teleconverter PA/RX
4. MC Hanimex Automatic Zoom c-macro 80-200mm 1:4.5 (no A setting)
5. Magnicon 70-210mm 1:4.5 AF
6. SMC Pentax-A 50mm 1:2.0
7. Magnicon 28-70mm 1:2.8-4.5 AF
8. Pentax SF10
9. Pentax P3
10. Blacks dedicated Pentax moduled flash gun.
11. Starbliz undedicated flash gun.

And here are the majority of my cases.

Bottom to top: Pelican 1650 hardcase, Tenba LL300 long lens case, 1980's large video case bag that holds the Pentax film cameras, one of my Tamrac Pro 12 soft cases, and the smaller one on the pile holds the Pentax S camera with two lenses, manuals, and other miscellaneous odds and ends that came with it

Whew, all done.
