Sandisk extreme SDHC rebate. (USA)

FYI:

Purchased a couple of 16GB cards for my K-7 from B&H and there is a rebate. The rebate differs on the size of the card and number purchased, for me it is $50. This reabte wasn't there a week or so ago, so it must be new.

Sandisk runs this program every so often - I bought the 8 GB ones last year - was a good deal...

You know, I've been keeping an eye on card prices, and I've noticed there's 4GB SD cards and 4GB SDHC cards.

(I'd rather thought the point of the HC was just getting more capacity in there. Is there another advantage? One worth a price difference? My thought is 4-gig cards'll be a convenient size for my organization plans. )

Not sure the question rates another thread if I'm missing something obvious.

Good heads up on the rebates, but with current pricing, not too much to get excited about just yet. In the last round my total cost for 3 E-III 4gb cards was $5, and that was the shipping charge. Right now, the best deal seems to be 3 of the 8gb cards for $50. Wait for a sale on these and you should be able to get them just as cheap.
