I have been using them while snowing, both the older gen. flashes AF280T & AF200T works great and sync. Only the 540 give me 1/15 sync.

I just try put the 540 set on the heater outlet, when I just put it there it doesn't sync, but after 1 min, it sync at 1/180... so is that mean the new gen. flash need a warm up?

my 540 acts up as well in conditions that don't affect my trusty viv 285hv. a power cycle or two seems to fix it. i'm assuming battery power is the issue, anything less than a full charge seems to cause it.

But why would the optical sync work perfectly then? When I use the built in flash as a remote it works just fine.

so as putting 540 on K10D hotshoe and it sync 1/180...
