Awile ago I inquired if anyone had experienced using the Kata DT-213 sling bag. Alas, no posts to help guide me. I found a great deal for one on eBay ($50 & no s/h fees or NYS tax) and so bought it.
Here's a bit of info for other curious potential Kata DT-213 users.
I carry a Pentax K100D-Super with a Pentax 18-250mm attached. Also in the bag is a Sigma 10-20mm and Pentax FA 50mm lenses. All are in the bags main gear compartment and separated by the usual velcro attached dividers. Also are two CPL filters in their original plastic boxes. All these fit quite nicely and allow easy handling.
There are two small accessory pockets on the outside of the bag. Both are small. One located on the side is good for SD cards and extra batteries. The other pocket is on the back of the bag and is quite flat and really only suitable for small items. Also there is an additional small pocket built into the bags strap for a cell phones, glasses, etc.
PROS : Kata DT-213 is solidly built and attractive with a nice yellow interior.
Works as advertised swinging easily from back to front for quick and
easy access to your gear. Never have to lay down your bag again.
CONS : Wish it had just one more small outside compartment to allow for a few
more accessories. That back pocket is just not vey functional.
That's about it. I'm happy with the bag and have no regrets.
