Slik 814CF + 705 3Way Head

Anyone have any experiences with this tripod and head ?

I played with the tripod today and found it quite light and sturdy, the tripod is going to be coming with me on my trip so weight is going to be an issue.

I have the 614CF with the 705E pan tilt head. I like the tripod. It is not heavy and I am comfortable with the pan tilt head. I have handled a 814CF in the shop and I think it is a tad too heavy for me BUT it is a much more sturdy tripod than the 614 so I think if you are okay with the weight, go for it. It seems rather good quality to me.

The specs say its about 1.6kg which to me would be light enough.

How much did you pay for all of yours?

I think I paid something like A$2XX. Can't remember the price now...but I do know that one of the reason that motivates me to get this tripod is 1) weight (the 614 and head is like 1kg or so) 2) price (the manfrotto and gitzo CF versions cost a lot more) and 3) good quality for the price.
