SB-24 Rear Curtain on K2000

I just picked up an SB24 for what I think to be a pretty decent price. I'm using it on my K2000 with no problems in manual, but I can't use rear curtain sync. I imagine it's because of the nikon on pentax. If I went wireless or sync cable, would I be able to?

Rear curtain sync is possible only for "dedicated" flash units. The flash unit and the camera body have to be able to communicate.

This is a general limitation, not just for Pentax.
