I can only tell you what I did.
A thread in our German Pentax forum dfn. Everybody who was interested could put his (and her) name in this thread. I put a deadline of one week for this. After this week we had twenty people who had said that they will buy a strap. I asked for a special price for twenty straps via email at Luigi. He told me a discounted price and offered me free Fedex shipment to my adress and free embossing with Pentax. I calculated the price for one strap and added the price for postal sending to everybodys door. This price I send with my bank details to all interested people. I set them a new deadline of one week to send the money to my bank account and give me their adresses. After only three to four days I could see 19 payments in my account. I thought, "what bloody bastard had misted its payment"?? ...

It took me a day to understand that it was my own payment that missed...

So I ordered the whole 20 wrist straps at Luigi. Within two weeks he manufactured our straps and send them to me. I shipped them to the adresses and everybody is happy now.

What was the final cost per strap, including delivery to the individual buyer?

Chris
x2

VAT taxes in the EU should even be more expensive than shipping to America...

I'm interested, although I'm hoping (praying?) for $30-ish...

Wow, beautiful straps!

How much were they each?
Perhaps some of us could go in on a bunch if they are not too expensive...

I love the way the tan ones look. Very "retro" like the straps my dad had for his old Minolta SLR.
I'd go for tan as well! I think they'll wear better, too...getting that "soft, light" tone and feel like old brown leather products. Black seems to "wear out" or "wear off."

Depends on the buyer. Some want the final delivery with normal Post Service, some choose the insured airmail shipment.

We all had final costs from 28 to 33 Euro per strap.

I think will be the same for Norh America in $.

I'll agree, beautiful wrist straps. They are obviously designed to fit and work with the K7 (and old style) strap lugs. Will they work with the attachment points on the K10D - K20D ?

That's more than many here would spend on a camera or lens!

It would be the single-most expensive camera thing I've bought in...months...since summer

I'm curious about pricing. As all group buys go..."I'm probably in after we know the final cost"

Dear Peter,

Thank you for asking, (and to Rainer !).

Them are my Premium Line wrist straps, made with the very best
leathers that I may obtain, tanned only with ecological, vegetal
oils, NO chromium or other poisonous chemicals.

Price, Euro 30 each, + Euro 13 for the Registered Air Mail shipping.
Several colors are ready for shipping, others may need 12/15 making days.

I do accept PayPal payments, but…
Due to the new PayPal rules, recently introduced, now ALL Payments are
charged to the recipient for a disappointing 4% fee, whichever would be
the funds source, and the PayPal account type !

Please, if you’ll want to go ahead, and if you will pay by PayPal, I ask you to
kindly add an extra 4% on the grand total, as a refund of the PayPal fees

I'd love a Luigi half case, but AFAIK he doesn't make them for Pentax SLR bodies (except the LX maybe).
Doesn't really matter of course - I couldn't afford one anyway...

So around $50 if the international shipping cost were split, plus shipping inside America...

Hmmmmmmmm

If there's still an old-school cobbler in town, and you hand them a naugahide everready case bottom, and say, "Would you make this out of leather for me?"

They really might.

Same skills and tools and materials as shoes. (Ask them to leave out the more volatile sizings and polishes is all: you don't want some of that near your optics for long, by the smell. ) What you need is that bored old dude you never pay much attention to. He might even be named 'Luigi.'

I'm thinking about it too...
But I think I need to wait a little while since the wife is already mad that I spent so much on my K7

The black with red stitching would look most excellent on my wife's red K-x...
