Memory Disc for K7

I think there are 8 tiny reindeer pulling a sleigh with a jolly old man dressed in red calling out Ho Ho Ho. He seems to have a sack of treasures beside him and I think .......... yes it is a K7 with my name on it.
But alas Santa doesn't have a clew as to what the best memory card to recommend for the the K7? He has checked with his elves and they are all undivided as to what to suggest

4 GHB, 8 GHB, 16 GHB & 32 GHB
Core Micro Tech
San Disc
Dane Electronics
Panasonic
Verbutam

They are categorized as 4 - 6 - 10 and now he reports 16 & 32
what does all that mean?

I just want to take some great pictures.

Prices vary from Cdn. $30 to $130.00

Santa checked with a couple of well known camera stores and got different answers. What are most of you using? What price should he expect his elves to pay?

The K7 may be found in my stocking hung careful by the open fire but won't be much good with out a memory card. Maybe I can use my old 2 GHz class 4.

I have always used SanDisk Extreme III 4GB cards with no problems. I feel that they represent a good balance of value, reliability and performance. I have not been interested in the huge cards because I am not an "all the eggs in one basket" kind of person. I would rather fill several smaller cards in the off chance that one goes bad, or have several cards with different contents rather than everything lumped together. Just my 2-cents. Speaking of cents -- most of mine were practically free -- there was a hefty rebate available a year or so ago and a killer one-day deal online. Enjoy your new camera!

Get a real Sandisk card.
The Extreme III cards are an excellent choice.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, but for the most part, I just have 1 16gig card in use.
Most people seem to think it better to not "put all your eggs in one basket", and so use several smaller capacity cards.
I don't like changing cards, so I minimize the number of times I have to do it.

Whatever the size, SanDisk cards are again the best to invest in.
