Time Lapse Photography with the K10d

Hello, eveyone, and merry Christmas.
I just bought a Pentax K10d, and I did so believing that I could not do time lapse photography with it. Now I've learned that there are others out there doing time lapse with their k10ds. Is this really possible, and if so, how?

I am very excited about my K10d. Years ago my first SLR was stolen, and I never replaced it. That was 10 years ago. I can't wait to lose myself in photograhy again.

You need an intervalometer.

A cheaper alternative is this one from DealExtreme.com
(If you are patient enough to wait for shipping 14-30 days)

Currently $33.78 including free world-wide shipping.

Hi

There are other options too, but I own Pclix and it really delivers. It's built to last, its rugged and just last week I shot with it and a K7 2500 photos in freezing -27 celsius without any problems or protection (camera was plugged with ac adapter of course, but pclix ran with batteries)

Only problem I faced was the K7 when it was entirely chilled to -27 celsius, both wheels were working unpredictably, so when I fine tuned exposure, value could jump anywhere in range. well enough of my blabbering, Timelapses are great fun and go for it!

I actually like this one better.

DealExtreme: $39.90 JJC TM-C LCD Timer Remote Shutter for Canon/Pentax/Contax/Samsung DSLR/SLR Cameras

From the photo you'll see it has an on/off switch that the other lacks. The unit is shorter but fatter than the other remote. Both operate pretty much the same, but this one is easier for me to read the LED display.

Thank you
Russell

I am just always afraid of things that list "Pantex" anywhere in the description.

Just kidding. I am amused by "Pantex" but not really that concerned half the time.
