AF-540-FGZ and Quantum Turbo Battery

Hi,

I've been trying a Quantum Turbo battery with a CN3 cable to power my AF-540-FGZ. When I initially plug the cable in the high voltage indicator on the battery lights up as expected. After I pop the flash the high voltage light on the battery turns off and the flash charges. I get the same response if I have the power source for the flash to external only or external with internal battery (PP1 or PP2) Is this behaviour of the high voltage indicator light the way it suppose to work? If I use my Vivitar 282 with the battery pack the high voltage indicator light stays on. (I'm new to working with external battery packs)

Cheers!
