SanDisk Exteme III cards OK for K20D?

Amazon is selling the SanDisk 4GB class 6 SDHC memory card for $30 and $5.95 shipping. Amazon further IDs the card with these numbers: SDSDRX3-4096-A21. They also have the 4 GB SanDisk Extreme III SDHC card with the ID of SDSDX3-4096 for $20 plus shipping. Are these cards compatible with the K20D? And what is the difference between the two? Thank you!

Sandisk make 2 different SDHC eXtreme III.. one 20MB/s version and one 30MB/s version.. both class 6.. and both should work in a K20D

I have one 20MB/s 4Gb as a reserve with me and actually use a "slower" 15MB/s 8GB SDHC Ultra II card with my K200D when I'm out shooting. So I can say that Sandisk work very well on a K200D atleast..

The FAQ on petax web states that you shouldn't go under 2 Mbps transferrate for the SD card on the K20D

Over time I have replaced all my Ultra IIs with Extreme IIIs for the K20 and they work relaibly and are noticeably faster than the Ultras (allowing more images in a fast series). I always recommend these cards.

I have a bunch of 8GB Extreme 3 (20MB/s) which I use on the K20D... work great.

I actually bought them from Dell (dell.es as I am in Spain)... at that point in time their price was significantly better than Amazon or others... I was finding significantly different prices depending on the seller... definately worth comparing prices, be careful to make sure you are comparing the same item (e.g. 20MB/s with 20MB/s)

I have used 8GB Extreme III's in my K10D pretty much since I got it and they have performed flawlessly. In retrospect the Ultra II is probably sufficient for my needs and when I buy some more cards I may get those in the 16GB size ($65 for the Ultra II vs $110 for the Extreme III)

I don't know the difference but I use Extreme III / 4 , carrying 5 or 6 of them rather than bigger memory because I like visually and crudely keeping track of how much I've used/got left. Only rarely have I used more than 3 or 4...I shoot RAW only.

I use the Sandisk Extreme III 4gb as well, never had a problem. Also have a Sandisk Extreme Ducati edition 4gb (red in colour) 20mb/s also. Has the hinge in it so you can click it open and plug straight into a USB port. Both cards work great and never caused any problems. I always shoot RAW, can fit 166 DNG's on each.
