Quick curiosity Q for 540fgz owners.

Greetings af540fgz owners, I am just curious wether the 540 comes with one of those small flat stands that u can use to make it stand on a table. I have seen the 540 pictured with one but I dont know if you get it with the flash or not. I have the 360 (540 was not out yet at the time) and I didnt get one with mine... but sometimes it could be usefull to have one, especially indoors.

I got one too but I wish they would have put that 10 cents toward a better battery cover. You can get a table-top tripod to hold the flash for $3.99.

It came with my 540. Doesn't come with the 360. Its about $10 from Pentax. Has a pretty wide base.
Have no problems with the 540 battery door. What problem are you having? Have four friends with the flash - none have complained about the door.
thanks

Well if its anything like the 360 then the door can sometimes look like its going to burst open. Ive read someone recommending you take out the batteries when you are not using the flash to relieve the strain on the battery door. I dont know if it will actually break in the end or not though, my 360 still seems fine although I always keep the batteries in it.

It just seems like the door hinge catches on the unit when opened, and the door moves around quite a bit when open - ripe to snap something off if you press it down out of alignment. Though it seems to be better (or I do) with a bit of patience and better technique:-)

That d*mned battery door is the one thing I don't like about the 540. I am very very very careful with it but wish it was a simple slide on slide off.
