Shoot Like A Gunslinger

Here is a new product (Holster) for your DSLR that should be available in March 2010:

Oh Boy. Now you can look like you're going for a gun while you run up to a celebrity. I wonder if any Paps will be taken out that way.

I have seen a similar product years ago. It wasn't very popular and so was discontinued after a short while. I would myself never carry a camera like that, the danger of bumbing into something hard (a door, table, whatever) is too high.

The potential of ending up with a dropped, damaged camera would, IMO, far outweigh any benefit.

Believe I'll pass on this one.

I didn't ask her! She was putting something in the Jeep console, probably the P89. 90% of my gear is Pentax and a substantial portion of the remainder will work on Pentax.

Its been done before. The only trouble is it only shoots ones and destroys the outer element. Of course that is the only one it has.

C.I.A. single-shot gun-camera (1966)
The Stinger is a single-shot re-loadable .22 magnum pen-gun, perhaps the single most popular weapon of the C.I.A. In 1966 the Stinger has been "swallowed" by an Asahi Pentax 35mm SLR and properly cocked via camera’s film advance lever. It shot by shutter release button breaking the lens elements in front of it.

That would explain a lot of Pentaprism dents.

I once had jeans like those with the knee patches - but I never had the hair to match. (Where did they get that clip art?)

Wow, nothing says 70's cool better than a red bandana neckerchief, mustache, jeans jacket, and a cigarette.

But wow, look at that piece of glass!
