does anyone own a Kata DC 433 or something similar that is compact that
can hold a dslr w/ zoom , or dslr w/ 2 primes

I've got DC-443, don't use it very often, as I prefer backpacks, but it is a very nice bag. Takes K10D with DA* 16-50 mounted, DA 55-300 and DFA 100 Macro with enough spare room for all the small bits and pieces. DC-433 is quite a bit smaller, but should be ok for your needs.

Quality seems to be better than of similar Lowepro stuff I've seen, and I actually like the design of Kata bags more.

I own Kata KT DC-445, it is very good, it holds a temperature, and it is good sized. My fits 2 lenses, camera+lens, speed light, 4 Cokin P series filters + some ordinary round filters, 3 sets of batteries, and a rain coat. But there is a problem, if you get you camera always with you, your shoulders will hurt often. My already screaming. So I recommend a backpack.
