This is a fine lens alternative to the kit lens if you don't have or need less than 24mm. I have both the DA 18-135, the Tammy 10-24mm and this lens and this one is the choice for intentional shooting within its FL range if planning is involved. If Pentax does a FF body it will be a fine user.

I'll add a bump for an excellent lens. I also have the 18-135 and use it as my primary lens, but I'm holding the Tamron as long as I can afford to because it is a better lens and if Pentax ever comes out with full frame.
