Tamron 70-200 f2.8 (Price Drop) Fire Sale

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Tamron 70-200 f2.8

Asking Price
550.00 USD

Item Location
Texas (United States)

Item Description
I have a Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens that I am the original owner of. It is in excellent condition and has actually seen very little use. I am not 100% sure what people consider 'mint' and 'like new' but suffice it to say the lens is in fantastic shape with no issues either mechanical or cosmetic. In my personal non expert opinion it is somewhere in between those two categories, but the lens has been used occasionally.

In the interest of full disclosure I can put up as many photos as you would like but rest assured that the lens is well cared for.

Instructions for any future warranty claims can be provided if you would like. It was purchased from an authorized dealer and they gave me instructions so there should be no problems in any instance.

All original packaging is included.

$550 includes all paypal and shipping to the Continental US. To Canada it is +$10.

All other destinations PM me.

Any detailed questions please PM me.

If you desire photos of the actual lens please indicate so and I will post up whatever you would like.

Please post up indications of interest in the comments section. A simple "PM Sent" will suffice. This helps keep the pecking order clear if more than one person shows interest in the lens.

Is it US version with 5 years USA Tamron warranty or Int'l version with no USA warranty? Care to post few photos of the lens here including it's packaging. Thanks.

It definitely has warranty. When I bought it I thought it was something like 7 years or something like that? It might be 5 but I am not sure. I've never needed it, but it is for sure still under warranty with at least several years left either way.

I will provide specific details about what to do and how to handle warranty claims (who, where, what etc...) It was purchased from a major north american retailer and they gave me specific instructions via email (only because I asked them about it before I bought it).

I will get up photos soon including of the box and all that.

Here are photos of the actual lens.

Note the slight marking on the shoe where the tripod mounts. This and the knob are the only markings anywhere on the lens.

This and the slight marking on the bottom of the shoe are the only marks anywhere on the entire lens. This is a result of riding in the case I guess. But full disclosure... there it is. That's the only thing at all that I can find.

Even the box is in good condition.

Excellent glass. Clean and fully functional.

It has a custom carrying case as well that I forgot to take photos of.

Hi: Can you post 2 raw files of shots taken with this lens at f/2.8 with subject far, i.e. over 30 feet away and one that's near about 2 feet away.

Thanks,
K

I can put up all the JPEGs you want but I don't know how to post RAW files.

Perhaps a google drive link? If you email via google, and the file is larger than 25mb, it will send via google drive.

I can email them to you but I don't use all that stuff. If you want to send me an email address in a PM that is the easiest way provided the files won't be too big.

The best we can do is try

The Tamron 70-200 is the best lens for the bucks that exists. Optically it is equal with the 70-200 that cost 3x. Mine always impresses me of the image quality.

The image quality is very good. No question about that. It is exceptionally sharp.
