Condition

Mint. Glass, and aperture are great. No marks, no haze, no fungus, no oil. The mount and contact points look perfect.
Mechanically the lens is 100%. The focus ring moves smoothly, just as it should, and the ring rubber shows no wear. Hood clicks into place nicely. Optically there are no signs of de-centering or any other optical problems.


Why I'm selling it

I purchased this lens a couple of years ago after deciding to pursuit astro photography. I did a lot of research and this seemed to be the best lens within my budget. Well, I never actually got into astro. I used the lens once and realized I'm too lazy to sacrifice sleep for beautiful pictures. Not proud to say it but it's true.

This lens is a compact, fast, ultra-wide angle lens. It is a stellar lens for nightscape photography.
It was this article by forum member Matthew Saville that motivated me to purchase this lens. He shows some great examples of what this lens is capable of producing.
