Item Description
This is one of the most rare of the 6x7 accessories. The Number 1 and number 2 Outer Bayonet tubes are usually part of a two piece set, but the number one tube is the most usable as there is a minimal exposure factor when used.

These extension tubes only fit the Takumar 6x7 400mm F4.0, Takumar 6x7 600mm F4.0, Takumar 6x7 800mm F4.0 and Takumar 6x7 1000mm F8.0 lenses and the Pentax 6x7 Auto Bellows. With the Auto Bellows 67 it allows additional clearance from the rear mounting board. This is particularly useful when using a Pentax 67 body with a Metering Prizm as there is not enough room with the prizm attached.

Of the lenses, only the Takumar 400mm F4.0 lens is very common and is reasonably inexpensive in the used market. The sharpness and image quality of this lens (3 similar variations) is rated highly, but the minimum focus distance is dismal at 800cm (26.2 feet). With the #1 Extension tube the minimum focus distance is almost cut in half at an acceptable 447cm (14.6 feet)

Using this extension tube makes the Takumar 6x7 400mm F4.0 an inexpensive and “fast” telephoto, easily adapted to 645 or K Mount bodies.

The extension tube is in excellent condition, with hardly detectible signs of wear and I will provide a full color digital Pentax 6x7 Extension Tube Manual.
