Selling my excellent Samyang 35mm F1.4 lens.

The aperture ring on this lens is de-clicked, should you want to use it for recording video. In the "A" position, it behaves just like every other Pentax lens with aperture control from the camera body.

Image quality is excellent, and I even somewhat prefer the colors on the Samyang to the Sigma.

I'm tempted. The "declicking" is what makes me hesitant. How firm would you say the ring is, without it? How much disassembly was required? Thanks in advance!

The ring turns smoothly with very silent ticks. The only disassembly required was removal of lens mount, then sliding back aperture ring. Should you want to restore "clickiness" in the future, you can always reinstall a small bearing (1.5mm or 2mm).

I use the aperture ring in declicked mode on my Pentax ME Super for film shots and I don't find it to be an issue, rather I like that I can adjust the aperture more quietly.
