I do my best to care for my gear and I’m very selective if and when purchasing used gear. Much of what you see has little use in recent years. The lenses function perfectly, feature smooth action… wear only-no defects… no haze or fungus… a little dust perhaps, noticeable under bright light and close examination—certainly nothing that affects image quality. Fair: Item has seen substantial use and may have some scratches, but no significant dents. Marks and signs of use will be more abundant than typically. 80% of original condition.
Poor: Item has seen great use and may have scratches, dents, and signs of use that are clearly visible. 70% of original condition.
Damaged: Item has seen extreme use, or has been handled poorly. Includes front and rear caps, plus the original pouch which is partially pictured, and the original box and paperwork (not pictured). I’m not sure if this is the original rear cap, but I suspect it is. After reading some grumblings about quality control I purchased two new copies of this lens and compared them side by side. I’m not sure that there was really any difference between them, but I ended up keeping this one. It’s in Like New condition and it’s a quality lens capable of some very high quality images. Images are very sharp from corner to corner.

Includes front and rear caps, plus the original case. I believe this is the original rear cap, although I am not 100% certain. I purchased it several years ago here in the marketplace for much more money. I have used it extremely sparingly, and this copy is in uber-pristine condition. Even the case, which is made of leather, is in pristine condition (it even smells new). The lens is a masterpiece for macro work--famous for its buttery smooth bokeh and gorgeous color rendition--and the build quality is something to behold. Like New ~ Excellent condition.
