This is my K50D that I used for about 5 years of continuous shooting. It has the following issues:
1. Aperture block failure: the solenoid needs to be replaced. I had it repaired years ago but has returned. Back then the problem wasn't as well understood so I think they just filed the solenoid down. Right now the camera will expose properly after taking 2-3 underexposed shots. You can use as-is with adapted lenses (IE m42) as they don't use the aperture control.
2. When mounting a lens, you need to put the focusing into manual focus mode as the motor screw doesn't retract properly. This might be an easy fix, not sure.
3. The little plastic tab that holds the battery in has broken off. The battery still seems to be held in just fine by the door, but presumably that plastic bit is important, so...
4. A bit of the faux-leather surface is lifting up on the left side of the camera. This is probably something you could just glue.
I will attach a JPG showing the shutter count.
Hoping to find a good home for this... so many memories of my kids growing up and hikes in the woods taken with this camera.
