Some say that the f/1.7 is sharper than the more expensive f/1.4. I have both and I agree. The f/2 is also a gem. Somebody buy these before I get any ideas. My copy of the f/2 is a little rough...

I have good memories of the SMC-M 50mm f2... I had good results with the copy I had, even though it had quite a bit of fungus.

I am tempted to buy the f2... but I have so many 50s already, and my excellent SMC-M 50 1.7 already doesn't see much action anymore...

So here goes a bump for two wonderful lenses
