Item Description
MONOCHROME Pentax K-3 PRESTIGE EDITION camera with monochrome converted (debayered) sensor. Gun metal color + dedicated battery grip, black leather strap.
Shutter count about 5000.
Sensor was debayered by me. Camera makes monochrome pictures only.
Monochrome modification delivers more details and reduces noise at high ISOs, sensor sensitivity is increased by about 0,7 stops. 24 mpix monochrome sensor delivers detail equivalent of 54 mpix color APS-C sensor. Test chart pictures (RAW, ISO 100-25600) are available in the link below. They are shot at 1/2 test chart height therefore numbers should be multiplied by 200 to get resolution in LW/PH. As is visible in the pictures max physically possible resolution of the sensor (4000 LW/PH) is achieved even at higher ISOs.

Ultrasonic dust removal, IBIS are preserved. Original K-3 optical components - UV-IR/cut filter and dust removal glass window with antireflective coating are left in place after conversion.
Flat image for spots on sensor added (some very tiny spots are there, but hardly visible at 100 percent magnification, picture is located in the same folder as test chart pictures).
