Some very nice work on this page
This is an older one of my niece & her piano teacher - *istD + Vivitar 135/2.8 wide-open, iso 800:


I like this shot better, altho technically not as good - I wasn't able to get them both in focus with the shallow DOF + the slow shutter:

yes, wide open, but unfortunately I misfocused a little bit so it's not as sharp as it could have been

The "lack of sharpness" doesn't really hurt this photo a bit - very nice!

My son and his family were visiting us in the fall one year. For them, coming from Thailand, it was cold out so my grandaughter was happy to be bundled up. The hood of the jacket made for an interesting frame that I used for this picture.
