Last year's crop

How about something from the garden. These are from last summer, but this year is looking good too... nothing like tomatoes off the vine.

You got that right. My wife's family used to farm them.

Classic KD

This is a Canadian classic, Kraft Dinner or "KD". The original version with it's packet of neon orange powdered cheese product has long been the staple diet of many a university student. 24 years out of university and I still get the occasional craving. Some people add ketchup, my favourite addition is peas.

Joe very cool. I like KD with canned beef stew.....lol!

Okay I thought about this one for a bit and am submitting this: It is not food in the " how we think" sense of the word but it is the original version of food, this where our food comes from and how it looks before it is turned into something else.
This is canola and it will become canola oil. Eventually it is used in so many things such as salad dressings, fried chicken, french fries, etc. etc. Basically anything that is deep fried will use this oil to cook in. This is what it looks like prior to ending up in a deep fryer. So the fries you eat at McD;s,and KFC and essentially anyhwere else, this is what itis cooked in..kinda pretty actually:

And these are the immense sprinkler systems that are used to water these crops.
