I found the last ones I'm going to enter. First is a fruit I love to eat. Course I love most fruits, but this one is my favorite:
A couple of Mangos

The aftermath:

Another of my favorite fruits, though I don't have a photo of the aftermath because they're not fruiting this time of year, and these are Kumquats. Grown on a tree my mother planted almost 60 years ago. She was always telling me to stay out of the Kumquats...

Let's see what I've got.

1. This guy's eating a plant.

2. This guy was wanting me to feed him. I left that to his mother.

3. YUCK!

4. Seeds anyone?

5. Something finally for humans.

Your grandson has a discriminating eye... how soon until you introduce him to photography? Congratulations sealonsf!

Greek food at the gas station

Admittedly this is not the greatest photograph ever taken (and cloning out the power line was not feasible) but after many efforts this is the best I could achieve. This is in my humble opinion one of the best take out places in Calgary. They have just spruced it up a little and enhanced their inside seating but it is still Greek food in a gas station. But what food... and at a fraction of the price of the fancier establishments further along the road.

Truly enjoying the variety of interpretation and representation on the theme everyone!

This was my first year growing the watermelons (needless to say - will be growing them from now on), first of the season "Early Canada":

What a nice surprise! Please tell your grandson thank you and that he has excellent taste! :-) This picture was taken in a ger (yurt) in the Gobi desert when we were visiting a camel breeding family. The little girl had just woken up from a nap and had some camel's milk - so this is food at its very basic. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing more entries.
