I'm in.

Definitely a K-series lens. (35/3.5?)

I might cheat and use a different camera each week.

Then in October I can do one M42 lens.

But I may have to cheat on the cameras again.

Me too. I think it would be just as hard to stick to one camera for an entire month!
I like this idea though, and I might do it. And I was also thinking of using the DA35 Ltd, but I can't help but wonder if it is too easy. It's a pretty versatile lens...

If I am still around in September I am in.......sounds fun! I used to do this sort of thing often. Mount on lense on the body and take off on a walk or drive and walk. It really does help me see things differently. In fact now I have trouble making myself use more than one lense...these days I am stuck on my 35ltd and use it daily. It's hard to force myself to use my 43ltd or 77ltd over it and I love them all.

Great response so far...and a nice array of lens choices. I know I should be doing it a little tougher and sticking with the DA15 for a month, but I really want to use this opportunity to bond with the 35 Ltd

I have put the feelers out with the Forum admin/moderators and I'll let you know if this doable here....and if so, how?

Why is it that the only people willing to admit to LBA use primes?

This thread makes me want to do the opposite.

I plan on to use a different lens everyday, who's with me?

edit: screw it. I might just use the A35-105 and K28 f3.5 exclusively. Just to rub it in.

That's another game entirely: The Two Lens Challenge

1 PRIME. 1 ZOOM. 1 MONTH.

Actually, that might make a decent photo article or calendar or something. Maybe Pentax or B&H or Adam would sponsor a juried challenge?

Hang, mate, I'm happy to have inspired you whichever way you choose to go. Actually I note you're still holding onto the DA12-24. Maybe that could be your weapon of choice for the challenge?...and tweak the name a little to "Satan in September"?

EDIT: thanks for the PMs. I was not being deliberately blasphemous nor inferring that Hang is the Lord of the Underworld. This was simply a reference to Hang's conviction that AF is the work of Satan. Thanks.

You've got to be kidding...

Stillshunter and I have a little tiff going on in regard to the A35-105 and k28, which I think he's insane for selling.

I also think AF is inherently evil.

I like the idea but (as others have noted) I shouldn't commit to a lens today.. I might not own it by then! Yes, LBA is alive & well.

I've a hike planned late in Sep, so if it's not the 16-45 it will need to be small and light; that leaves off the 28-100 Rokinon. Maybe I'll cheat and say 135mm, so either the one I have now or the one I replace it with can play. And if none of the above, I'll use the 55-300 but try a shot a day @ 135mm.
