One I've tried to shoot many times and I think this is one of my best. These are the size of a pin head. The entire picture, 1024x768 crop, is an area about the size of a postage stamp, maybe less. Lentar 135 and 68mm extension tubes, flash at 1/4 power, f11.

Another one for Pete/Billy to ID. Found this among the weeds in a field. Shot with my Pentax 28-80mm Macro lens. Settings are in exif, and had it on macro setting.

Photolady - That looks like a variety of legume or lupine, hard to tell without seeing the leaves, but in the pea family. If I remember correctly the main difference between Lupine and Legume is in the leaves. Flowers of both are very similar. I think it might be the same one I see here, maybe a bit over a half inch tall. Some here grow in singles, some grow a bunch on a stem, but all about the same size and very similar, although certainly different varieties.

Thanks Billy. I'm thinking they were on a vine of some kind and at the moment can't remember what shape the leaves were. I can't go check because the field was on private property, and a business, and the business isn't open today.
