Hangman - I've been wondering what that one is too, I've gotten some good shots of it both in Louisiana and Texas. Blazing Star? Joe Pye Weed? not really sure. Most of the tiny flowers I shoot don't show up in any of my books.

Some great stuff still showing up here. I haven't been around much but just remembered to check a couple of threads out. The K-x got fried ( I really goofed) so I'm using point and shoots and some 35mm now, nothing developed yet though. So everything I've shot lately has been with non Pentax gear. Don't know when I'll be able to afford a replacement. Repair will be more than a used one, so I'm thinking just replace it. If I ever can...

Hangman - Those are blooming here too, chickweed is the bottom one, it blooms all the time, the blue one is Speedwell.
Here's one of SpeedwelI just got with the new K 30 a few days ago. Just got some shots of Chickweed today...don't have any ready to go yet though.

LOL... And I love it....I went nutz for over 2 months having nothing but a point and shoot, finally we got a good enough job to allow me to order a new one, after some debating with myself and poking through reviews and owner comments, decided on the K 30 over the older K 5. Don't think it was a bad decision...

HAven't been around here much, been concentrating more on getting set up and getting some views on a Print on Demand site, trying to get some of the better shots up for sale. No bites yet, not even a nibble, but I guess it takes time...

This is some kind of weed or wildflower - taken in October. Can anyone ID it?
Taken using a DA35/2.4

Odd that in the middle of January I'm getting flowers blooming...this is the only one uploaded so far, taken just a day or two ago, on 1/28. Really tiny flower I think is a Speedwell, but not positive. This is the smallest one I've seen, maybe 1/8 inch across, that's smaller than a BB. The entire plant stalk you see here is smaller than my little finger, slightly bigger than the diameter of a pencil...

Taken with the K 30, 50mm f1.4 Pentax lens (my oldest one with 52mm filter ring) and about 50mm of extension tubes. ISO 400, 1/125, f11. Natural sunlight, only editing was crop and slight increase in contrast. I used a mini tripod as a steady rest holding it on my knee or holding an elbow on my knee, or on the ground, whatever worked, I don't remember for this particular shot, and focusing by moving closer set at infinity focus until it was clear.

Obolaria virginica.
Gentianaceae contains many showy species, in contrast to this humble little wildflower. Not the freshest specimen as these have been blooming here for several weeks now and are about played out. 16 shots with the Bellows Takumar 100/4, stacked in Zerene Stacker.
