Hangman those are blooming here too right now, and I haven't gotten out with my macro rig to get a few shots. Those look good. I got an ID a while back but can't remember what they are now...

baro-nite I've tried to get a very small plant called Indian Plantain that grows around here, (not an Orchid, but an herb) about 3 inches tall and thinner than a pencil, but so far nothing I've been happy with. I did get the Ladies Tresses Orchid a while back in Louisiana but haven't found them around here. It's that time of year, need to do some more looking...they should be in this area, but no telling.

The flowers resemble Liatris although the leaves seem not to, but there are quite a few varieties.

Would love to see some shots of the Ladies Tresses.

Very striking! Nice contrast, and the dewdrops look great.

Thanks from me too. One day I'll take the time to go beyond hand-held, natural light to get that extra bit of DOF.
