Using the Sigma 70 macro to bring them up to a viewable size...

K-3, SIgma 70 macro, ISO 100, ƒ8 taken in AV mode..

I though out a pile of images of these plants yesterday.. the 1:1.33 macro of the DA 18-135 just wasn't giving me what I wanted. To day while throwing the ball into the river for the dogs, I managed to pull off a few images.

Dime size or smaller in general, I don't complain much if you fudge a little now and then. Just try to stay away from sunflowers and such the size of a dinner plate...

Anything bigger than about dime size, go here

The purple one is quarter-sized, but the white ones are much smaller

Paul - Those gotta be near water, I've seen them here and Louisiana, always near water, even a ditch. Can't remember the name, I'll have to look it up again.

These just started blooming recently, a little bigger than pencil erasers. Another one I'll have to look up again...
