Mark,
I am guessing that scooters are a part of life down their. Do you also use one? I would imaging that would be a great way to do some street shooting. I know I enjoyed my bike riding before I hurt my knee.

Taiwan has been one of the largest producers/exporters of scooters for some time. I imagine a portion of that has gone to China by now. However, scooters are people legs here. Yes I do and I have shot both video(while driving) and still shots from it.
