Walk in the woods

We went for a walk through the the forest today, and you can tell it's fall from all of the mushrooms around.

What possibly could be better than fungus?....fungus and a slug of course

and a few more....

Think anyone would try to eat that? Pretty shot though!
It was actually part of a Fairy Ring. All of the mushrooms were strange looking like that, and they mostly all had natural holes in them as well. (Not bug made) Thanks for the comment.

smc - nice series. It's a toss up for me between the first one and the last one. The first one makes me think either the slugs your way are large, or the fungus is small. Nicely captured.

Went for a walk today, and found a couple fungus. (fungi?)

1. If you look at the first post in this thread, this is the same fungus, just a few months older. It sure has grown.

2. This one is holding on for dear life.

3. This one has seen better days, that's for sure.

jmschrei - Now that is really different. Not the typical type of fungus you would expect on a tree. Nicely captured.

While photographing this one, I laid down very near it to change the perspective. I must have brushed up against another one as very soon I began to see lovely colors and rainbows, man. It was beautiful. Like, Disneyland, man.

Wait. What was I talkin about?

The kids, Len and I caught this on our "walking adventure".

Fungi.

Nice shots all.

eccs19 - I never see your pics, what gives? I see descriptions, nothing else...occasionally I see one of your posts where a picture shows up, usually nothing.

Still nothing here, we got some rain last night, 3/4 inch, but didn't see any shrooms today. Maybe tomorrow...

Not sure why you don't see them. Can't say as I've had anyone else say that. Anyone else having issues???

kokkieblanda - That's a nice shot. Nice clean background, nice detail, etc. Just a shame of that leaf/shroom?? in the bottom left corner.

I'd say if you're using IE8 to disable apps. Sometimes they block pictures from working correctly.

IE9 Beta stops all pics from being displayed, especially the pinned to taskbar links. It's one of the beta test glitches.

Using Firefox, I never touch IE, it's evil...virus magnet... Most of his posts the images are not there. A few are, but not many. I don't know what the deal is. It happens with nobody else.
