I meant to post these a couple of weeks ago and forgot about it. Took a walk in the woods and found a bunch of various mushrooms growing, concentrated on those growing on wood. I was surprised how many I found and the variety of colors...

I called this one "Dark side of the Shroom" was simply practising with off camera flash but I kinda like it. The mushroom was about 3-5 mm at the most.

And this second one seems to have caught spores dropping from the canopy, I'd love to say it was deliberate :P

Kind regards. Pete A

One from a couple of days ago, about an inch across. Gotta go look tomorrow, heavy dew today, some fog and a bit of rain. Great mushroom weather...

Those green Turkey Tails are certainly distinctive. I wonder if it's algae giving that color.

One from November; just got the film processed:

Noel, that is a nice set, with a surprising blue background in the second and the third is a knockout.

Interesting...almost exactly a year later I'm getting shots of some of the same fungus in the same spot...or almost, that spot is underwater so these are from 50 yards away from the spot the 1st shots on this page were taken, a year and a couple of weeks later...nowhere near as many in this spot though

Hanging off a dead log

Green fungus growing on a dead limb

Stump in a neighbor's yard, this stuff looks like jelly

Stinkhorn in my yard. Should have grown standing upright, for some reason it's the leaning stinkhorn of Texas...

All taken with Makinon 135mm, flash and an extension tube or two.

Thanks Baro-nite. That 2nd one is the mushroom head on a thickish pipe.
